Ok, I am quite sorry for posting alot and im not trying to stare Attention to me but I honestly have no idea what to do now. I mean some people might have a worst case then I do but I think i've done everything to try to get something going. I still haven't received my "Request of evidence" letter (since June), called USCIS 5 Times...nothing, Scheduled an Infopass, the Officer told me to write to the National Benifits Center, so I did and well its been almost 3 in a half weeks and I still have no responses, I wrote to my Congressman, its been a week however I know that takes some time, and finally I sent my Work permit papers in 3 weeks ago...The check has yet to be cashed. My Case statis still says the same thing that it says in July "On July 24th the Request of Evidence letter is marked Undeliverable..etc".

Im sorry once again but I have no idea what to do, I really need some advice and I can't afford a Lawyer. Many people advise me NOT to send in my Medicial Exam until a letter comes in the mail (USCIS told me but hey who listens to them? lol), however some of you people tell me I should...I don't quite know what to do.

I was planing and hoping to be able to cross the border (Canada) for Christmas to see my family but I highly doubt that would happen.

Can someone please give me advice?

you know pal, i dont actually think that they respond to those "request for status" letters, I used to bombard them with those inquiries and have not seen one single response, just keep trying and eventually they will get to it, they tend to mix up paperwork all the time and hopefully yours is not one of them but just stay patient and keep sending in letters/calls so that they pay attention to your file.

Here is similar story...

Hi there! My friend went through the similar situation. Her local office was Newark, NJ, and as far as I understand they don't require medical report to be sent together with all forms originally. At least that's what my friend's lawyer(who was paid 4K for her services so it's better be true :) ) said. Basically the lawyer insisted on waiting with medical until USCIS sends this Request of Evidence Letter...so that's what my friend did. And it cost her additional wait( took her a year to get interview vs. usual half a year that is for Newark DO per my friend).
Within all these months she felt very frustrated as you are now not knowing what was that letter about that she had never even recieved. So she made calls on general 800 number for USCIS, made infopass appoinments, and found out that she needed to send inquires to the national benefits service( lawyer told her that Nebraska one is somewhere in the middle of nowhere and they don't have any phone number thus the only way to contact them-writing letters). So her lawyer sent few letters to the NBS...no result.Frustration and despair...even with 4k worthy lawyer next to her.And that's when her husband's passion for golf came handy. One day he just shared their ongoing problems with USCIS to the guy at the golf club and the latter happened to be a member of local congress! The very next day the inquiry was sent now from the congressman and that was it. The same week my friend received the copy of the letter from troubled NBS(the letter did ask for the medical exam) and once my friend sent it back the letter with the scheduled interview date followed right away.
So the bottom line of the story-it was not a lawyer that was helpful in this situation but local congressman.Just try to be persistent with approaching local authorities, I have read on this forum that people would not only call many times to the office of their local congressman but actually stop by and try to talk to him/her directly about their problems with USCIS. You could first try to call the office and make the appoinment. And if they strictly accept written requests, I would insist on option to fax my letter and then call them to make sure 1-your request is recieved, 2-the congressman is sending the official inquiry about your case in a timely manner.
Hope, the above was not too long and somewhat helpful :) Good luck!

I don't get it - everything I've read and everyone's experience I've seen says you send in the medical forms with your initial paperwork - everything at the same time. If you know they need it, why wouldn't you send it in??

I haven't sent in the Medical exam because USCIS told me not to and wait for a letter or when they schedule an interview they will request it then. So thats why I didn't send it.

OK, well I'm no expert but that's the first I heard of that. When did USCIS tell you NOT to send the medical info?

before I sent in my papers, I called USCIS to ask what forms do I need to fill out and send, they gave me all these forms to fill out (in which I did) then they asked for my Zip Code and I gave it to them, then they told me to NOT send in my Medical Exam until I receive a letter in the mail requesting for it.

My guess is that you got bad info. Why didn't you just follow the directions on their website and with all the forms, which clearly shows that you need to send it in?

Well I called 3 times and they kept telling me to wait til I receive somethign in the mail so what I am going to do is Send in my Medical Exam.

GOOD NEWS!!!!

They did cash my check for my Work Permit and I received a Receipt for the Work permit TODAY but No letter in the mail regarding my "Request of Evidence".

Anyways The Doctor Office told me that they will keep me on Record so if they need another copy just to go in and get another one if the record is lost.

Just take easy

you have been waiting for only 150 days.

You are going crazy because you want to go to Canada?

Pleaseeee give a break.

Some people in other categories wait around 12 years before they can go back home.

Stop being a crying baby and ride the wave like anybody else

Plus

no sure what you mean by send a letter to your congressman.

A united States Congresssman works for America Citizens e not for people that are waiting for greencard

The best you can say is that your spouse contacted the congressman.

Anyway ,stop crying Dude

Your Rudeness is only exceeded by your foot in the mouth disease....Congressman do work all the time on behalf of people who are having problems with their greencards-get a clue and if you dont have anything good to say, dont.

I called an Immirgation Worker from Congressman Sander Levin (Michigan), The Worker asked me alot of questons and then she told me that she will get a hold of me when she gets some information about my case so hopefully that works out. I also Sent 2 Letters to my Senators (Michigan).

Im really not trying to be first in line for Immirgation (Im not "Crying"), nor do I feel that I am more important then everyone else, However, for my Catogory I was supose to get an interview from 4-6 months and well even if it was longer I wouldn't complain at all, but when my case is on hold and nothing is going then that triggers worrying. I just want my case to get back on track...thats all.

Brenglen, you don't have to justify yourself. We are all here to support each other and ease our own and others' minds by sharing information, being positive and helpful to to others. I agree with jnj, those who are negative and judgemental shouldn't bother to post anything here.
Brenglen, glad your case seems to move forward. You know my friend wanted to send medical without that letter from USCIS too but her lawyer wouldn't let her do it saying that would only mess her case even more. At this point we are not sure though if following all this lawyer's instructions finally got her interview.... or actually delayed it for good half a year

Well I really hope my Congressman's Immirgation Worker helps out cause nothing is moving one bit, I appreate your comment tho, I love knowing that I belong in this Community and I will help and share my experences just like everyone else. My Case is not moving forward, I am still clueless on my Case but I gotta ask you tho, you tell me your friend didn't Send in the Medical exam without the Letter (Request of evidence) because the Lawyer said not to and that it would screw up the case even more...then how did she/he get an interview then? did the letter evidentally come around or what did the lawyer or ur friend do to get the case back and running? Cause Im debating if I should send the Medical Exam in even if I dont get the Request of Evidence letter yet....Confused! lol

After their congressman made the official inquiry to Nebraska Service Center they have recieved the copy of this so much wanted RFE letter the same week. And only after that my friend sent her medical together with copy of this RFE back to USCIS. Just a week or so passed and a happy couple finally got the letter with the interview date.
All the lawyer did was sending 2 letters to NSC without any response from them(I guess it won't hurt if you write the letter to your Service Center yourself too). All my friend did was getting help from the congressman office(I guess senator would work too).
My friend just blindly followed everything her lawyer advised, thus, even though she wanted to send the medical without this RFE letter (she assumed most likely that's what they needed) facing all these troubles to get the copy of 'lost' original one, she didn't dare to do it. The fact that she didn't doesn't mean that you shouldn't. It's your decision after all. You could take your chances and go ahead send the medical...or you could follow the legal advice(what my friend did) and put all efforts(just being determined and persistent) to get the copy of this RFE letter first through the official inquiry.
Best of luck to you!!

Thanks NikaDV, yeah I am going to keep going after this RFE letter and keep making Infopasses and keep writing to service center and stuff.

thanks again!
:)

I guess you are just asking for help

Remember, immigration is a benefit and not a right.

Take a break and go have some fun.

Good luck

Update: My Congressman is working on the Case, also I called the USCIS Number today and waited an Hour and a Half then I talked to an Immirgation Officer. I told him about my case and he then told me to write to the National Benefits center, I told him I already did and he was surprized, then he said to me that theres nothing that he can do but then he said for me to hold on and so I did for 20 mins then he brought up my Case file and my Call records, he says that I have called several times (in which I did) and that nothing has been sent out, he also noted that he was very Disapointed with the Service Center and that he has never agreed with a Customer until now, he also said that he knows is frustating and that he is going to help me by calling his Supervisor then he put me on hold for 20-25 mins. After the wait, he then told me that he is still working on my case and that for me to wait alittle longer...put me on hold again lol. After 10 mins he came back saying that he's Supervisor is going to personally deliver a message to the Service center and tell them whats been going on with your Case and that he appoligze for the wait and then he asked for my Phone number (I gave him the Cell), so then he said that the Supervisor is going to work on the case and he has no clue what the Supervisor will do but it is brought to his attention.

So hopefully that works and well all I gotta do now is Pray.

Queston: Would they terminate my case because the Service center hasn't received my RFE?

Great news, glad if I could be any help. I don't think they would terminate your case just based on given facts...I hope at least...this mess adds waiting time though for sure.
Let us all know who was the decisive figure in your case-the congressman or the USCIS supervisor, hopefully the latter :)

Oh I hope everything works out too, I appreate everyone that got involved in this thread, it means alot and truely now I know what it feels like to be caught in the Immirgation Anxiety lol.

So the next step is to wait I guess, I mean I am very impatient however Immirgation isn't the fast lane in this world lol, but do you think I should wait 2 weeks and then maybe Schedule an Infopass if I dont receive any word nor letter?

Also I got my Work Permit Receipt in the mail on tuesday, it says the next step is Biometrics (I guess a letter will come in for an apointment for biometrics), however I already got my Biometrics done...Is this something nessarary for my case?

thanks again guys.
