I am devastated (failed in interview)

i second that....this is the time to get your wife pregnant...cos now,u got to do what u got to do man...

Yeah, getting your American wife pregnant really is a great solution to beating the immigration laws.

When is your second interview, 9 months? You'll be deported by then. Show me the the I-9xx form showing that you have a little baby pending.

If your story is Legit don't worry.

Listen to the others and get a different lawyer if your current lawyer don't believe your story, you can find a lawyer that will share your point of view.

hello,
I am from india and married to caucasian. I dont think it really matters if your wife is white/black or brown. I think it must be just that interviewer was pisse dof at some thign and you were a victim. But dont worry as long as your marriage is legit i think you shouldnt worry about the second interview. i know that it is easy to say not to worry but
think about it what else can we exactly do. If it helps you i didnt have any problem in the interview the lady who interviewed us was really good but she told me that since she didnt get the fbi namecheck yet she cant approve it but as soon as they get the result from fbi theey will approve it. i know my other freind who applied at the same time as me and already got his GC in about 3 months. So i was kind of depressed about my luck for a while but now i am used to it.just have some patience it will be ok.

I forgot to mention that we took our kid to the interview.I think it may have helped. But i dont think you should just have kids for "INS purposes" if you really dont want any now. :)

What kind of stupid post is this. He has conditional permanent residency at this point, his case hasn't been denied but he has merely been required to come for a second interview.

If your marriage is real you don't have to worry.

Think of it this way :

INS had something against you when you came for your first interview ,and they were determined to deny your application right away, that's why they asked your wife to call off her petition. But it didn't work out (for them ), they failed (not you ) so they had nothing to do but ask you to come for a second interview to get more proof. It's ,of cause, not pleasant but still there is hope, and you shouldn't give up. Get yourself together, get better prepared, have a good lawyer with you, try to look calm and sure of yourself and your marriage. I also heard ( I don't know if it's true or not) that in the waiting areas INS may have hidden cameras to see how couples behave themselves before the interview. So try to be relaxed ( though it's not easy) , give your wife a hug or a kiss while waiting and prove them wrong at the interview.

Best of luck.
