I am have been selected.
I am originally from Africa, born in Saudi arabia but I have my orginal County passport.
My case number 2022AFxxxx
My interview post in Saudi arabia.
Now My question is someone told me since I planning to do interview in Saudi arabia, wich is in Asia My case number should be 2022ASxxxx
Is that true?

Case numbers are allocated according to the region of the country you are chargeable to. Chargeability is normally based on your country of birth. There are two questions on the entry form, one asks where were you born, and the other (optional question) asks which country you are charging to if there is some reason to do so.

You were born in SA, but you should have answered the first question giving SA as your place of birth, but for some reason you must have selected a different country in the next question - and that country is in Africa. Why did you do that? Are you married to someone from Africa?

If you have no legitimate reason to have selected an African country to charge to, then you will be disqualified at interview. It doesn't matter where you interview, the result would be the same anywhere.

So - the question I asked above is critical to avoid you wasting your time and money.
 
Even I was born in Saudi arabia, I am still holding my African citizenship. And also I believe saudi is on the list of countries that not eligible to win DV lottery.
And yes my husband is from Africa but he wasn't selected separately.
 
OK - well you screwed up, but you might be able to save your case.

Your citizenship has nothing to do with the process. You should not have used that. And SA is eligible.

However, there is a thing called "elective cross charging" where you pick the country of chargeability based on your spouse's place of birth. You are supposed to have explained the reason why you were charging to another country on the entry form BUT I have never seen a denial based on not having an explanation. So - you can explain that you chose the African country based on your husbands place of birth. More detail in the link below:

Can I ask a quick question before I enter the DV Lottery.
My father was adopted and found his original parents. My father was born in Scotland but His father was Irish. He has traced and found his brothers and sisters afound out his entire family where born and grew up in Ireland.

My father was the one Only born in Scotland.
If my father where to apply for DV Lottery under his parent being from an ineligible country and can obviously show that his parents where only in Scotland temporarily before returning to Ireland. (Possibly to give birth and allow my father to be adopted in Scotland only as my fathers parents where unmarried at the time)

Do you think this is a complicated scenario or would entry first the Lottery be possible?

Way too complicated IMO. Two factors (1) he’d need the biological parents’ passports and/or other documentation to prove what you’ve said, IF that is even accepted because (2) in US law legal adoptive parents are your parents, therefore his parents did indeed (I am presuming) live in Scotland.

Your grandparents have no bearing at all. Where were you born? Do you qualify for either of the listed exceptions?

Ok. I misunderstood and thought if I got an Irish passport under ancestry then I would be able to apply for the lottery. Although reading the thread you can only enter if Born.
I was born in Scotland and both my fathers adopted parents where Scottish.
So pretty much wont work I guess.

Passports and nationality are irrelevant. Country of birth is what matters. If you have a spouse born in an eligible country you can cross charge. Otherwise I am afraid you seem out of luck.
 
Thanks again. I think so too.
Me and my wife have always wanted to immigrate and have looked into several E-2 businesses but seem a very difficult approval and risky.
Sponsorship hard too.
I’m an optical practice owner and my wife a secondary mathematics teacher but I don’t see many companies willing to sponsor either.
