Can someone clarify this situation please.
My parents entered with B2 through Philadelphia on March 31 and got their I-94 stamped without any problem. However, there is no date mentioned in the stamp, instead the inspector has hand written B2 in the space meant for date. My father had asked the inspector how long is the stay valid and what B2 means and the inspector had replied "B2 means stay valid for 6 months". Looks like the inspector had friendly asked a couple of questions to my father and had checked the date on the return ticket before issuing the stamping.
I want to make sure the stamping is valid for 6 months. Any insights or similar experiences is greatly appreciated.
