i-94 questions

hi,

i was working for a company A whose H1B will expire in
may 29th 2004 . In october 2002 i joined company B with
H1B expire date as october 2004 .

in june 2003 i left for india . while returning back
in port of entry i gave him my two H1BS. But port of entery officer gave me an i-94 with expire date as on my earlier
H1B( i.e may 29th 2004 ).

Can some one explain what kind of problems iam going to face
and what i need to do

---- port of entry officer did a mistake, if you shown him passport Visa AND you H1 approval notice of B that is valid till october 2004 , the officer was supposed to give you I-94 till october 2004
Can some one explain what kind of problems iam going to face
and what i need to do
1. go to same POE and meet the supervisor and get I-94 corrected
or
2 go to local USCIS office and get your I-94 validity corrected
or
3 file H1 extension before May 29 2004
or
4 if you stay near to border post exit US then enter US again and get new I-94 with correct dates
