i-94 question please help?????????????

hello

my hubby came here on L1 visa and i-94 was given which expired but by then he had converted to h1b and got approval notice with new i-94 attached to it, when he came to india, he did not return the new 1-94but the old one only, but in dia we got h1b and h4 stamping in chennai and re-entered usa, luckily no probs, now i just want to know that i-94 which is still in that approval notice

should be submitted to avoid any furture probs? or no more need to submit that?

if to submit exactly were to submit it?

Next time when you leave US, submit all. Just make sure you make copies b4 u leave.
