I-94 not taken before leaving US

My brother recently had 6 year of H-1B completed so he left the country for good. However his I-94 was never taken before he left US ... I guess both forgot about it. Would this cause problems for him to re-enter in future? Also how can he correct this situation.

Thanks in advance.

I-94

Ginnu,
I have a similar issue, I am on H1-B valid till 2006, last
time when I departed US (in April'04) airline forgot to took
my I-94 and I also forgot about it.
Now I have entered back into the US, just wondering do I
have to send all the supporting document (including I-94)
to ACS - INS about my timely departure but my
company's lawyer says since I have entered into US, no
need to send your old I-94 to anyone, I am not
really fully convinced with my lawyers explanation.
Could you please throw some light..
thanks

I am also in same but a little different situation where I couldnt give my original I-94 to the airline. I forgot my original at home but luckily I had copy of the original and copy of the one that comes with new H1 approval. So I had turned in the copies of all of my I-94s to the airline. But now I am back in US and got a new I-94.
