I have a bunch of questions as a results of being confused by all the details out there. Please help claify:
Q1: My son entered on H4. A month later he turned 21. He was enrolled in a university on basis of H4. His I-94 is still valid. What is his status?
Q2: I am pending adjustment of status based of immediate family. Can my kids who are on H4 get an EAD? If so can you please provide the source.

Q1: age out case. It is a losing battles for many. My opinion is that H4 is lost. Your son is accumulating unlawful presence

Q2: see INS website, click on forms, I765. Need 2 photos, I485 application copy, I94 copy, check . Find the address to send in the service center (field office) link..
