My I-94 was valid untill 16th feb 2007. i came back from india on Jan 2nd 2007. i got the documentsof extension papers on 12th jan. HR forgot to give it to me before i left for india.
what should i do now? is my stay in this country is invalid?
how can i correct my I-94?
Pls someone help ASAP!

if your H1 B approval notice come with an I 94 at the bottom, then it has validity date on left side. It gives you the status. Check the date

While leaving out of US next time you must hand over the I 94 card and the portion ogf I 94 comes with H1b approval notice to gether to port of exit.

I-94 issued on company A, now working with B

I was working with company A until Feb 05, and then switched jobs to company B. I visited India in Sep '06. I did not get my new H1 stamped on my passport. When I came back, the immigration official stamped the I-94 card with the expiration date (Oct '06) of my old visa (with company A), which is now expired. But I have the I-94 from the new company B, which doesn't expire until 2008. Am I in the clear or do I need to get the I-94 changed to reflect the 2008 date? Please advice ASAP.

Did you show the H1 approval form Company B while entering US.

If you would have showed that approval , officer would have issued your I 94 upto company B h1 validity period.
