hi,
How significant is the expiration date on the i-94?..
Let me describe a situation:
(1) - Working for Company A; visa and expiration date in Nov 2003 - stamped on visa
(2) - In july 2003 - new Company B applies for H1b, its approved, with an expiration date in Jan 2006, but never stamped
(3) - In Jan 2004 layoff happens, and the company B's details never got stamped onto the visa..
If such be the case, and then one finds a new job and h1b extension gets approved - with I-94 .. is it safe?.. what happens if its approved but with consular processing?..
Can someone please let me know how the 2 scenarios might proceed. The basic issue is that the visa does not have the stamping for step (2) while the person was working for company B
thanks much for your response..
