I-90:Lost Green Card:Some Qs

Dear all
I am in a sticky situation. I have booked my tickets to my country for
the last week of July and I lost my Card.
I know that there is a form I-90 that one can file.
My questions :
1. What is the procedure?
2. Can I travel while the card is still being ordererd?
3. How long does it take ( i am in NY )? (Can I expect by July mid I
can get the card)
3. Can I get the temporary stamp {Never got my PP stamped as card
arrived in mail}?


I am sorry to bother you with all this but I need some
advice/suggestions

Dear all

----------- now you need to file I-90 with LA locbox but Local USCIS can still take your I-90 (for 45 days after May 31) go to local office file I-90 and get your passport stamped and then you can travel with that stamp ( take form I-90, passport, I-485 approval or copy of lost GC and 2 photographs to local USCIS
2. Can I travel while the card is still being ordererd?
------------ after passport stamp you can travel.
3. How long does it take ( i am in NY )? (Can I expect by July mid I
can get the card)
------------ now they have started this LA lockbox and no update with that but in past if few who submited I-90 with Local office got GC in 1 month from VSC
3. Can I get the temporary stamp {Never got my PP stamped as card
arrived in mail}?
------------ yes you CAN get stamp

I am sorry to bother you with all this but I need some
advice/suggestions
------------ take infopass with local office and update the thread after I-90 filing
