I-90 - changing GC to married name. How long until I get my new card?

I went in for my biometrics appointment to the office in Newark on March 25th. Can anyone tell me when I should expect to receive my new card, and also should I get a letter in the mail to say its on its way? So far I havn't received anything since I day of the biometrics appointment!

I'm really frustrated because I need to book flights to Ireland for the middle of June and I don't know whether to book them in my married name or my maiden name. I still have my original GC in my maiden name should I just go ahead and book under this name? Will my old card immediatley become invalid as soon as my new one is sent out or is there a grace period that I can use it for?

Also, if my new card does come I need to get a new passport in my married name so I really am running out of time. Aghhh!!

Anyone else file their I-90 in Newark, and if so how long did you wait?

I was wondering how long did it end up taking to get your new green card. I'm in the same situation where I need to change the name on it and trying to make vacation plans at the same time.

----------------if you have GC with maiden name and passport with maiden name you can book the tickets and use the present GC to come back to US

I dont know your details I dont know how you filed form I-90 with local USCIS Newark
At present I-90 is efiled or filed with service center and one need to send the GC and all supporting document to service center.
