I would greatly appreciate if someone could tell mea bout filling the I-864 form. They are asking for tax returns for the last 3 years. Do all 3 of them have to show the income level above the 125% in order to qualify as a sponsor or only the most recent one/current? The form itself, apparently, is only asking about the last/current income level, but there is a reason they are asking for 3 years history.
In my situation, all 3 of my most recent tax returns do not show the income required in order to qualify - 3 years ago I was a student, and I have been working for the last 1.5 years, but, for the first years I only worked few months, therefore although annual income in more than sufficient, the actual number is lower. My 2003 tax return is not due yet, but it is the first one that would show that I now have enough income to qualify as a sponsor. It is clear, that if I don't wait for my 2003 tax return, I would need a co-sponsor (or use income of my parent with I-864A). But what if I wait a little and get my 2003 tax return that would show that I have enough income to sponsor? Will I need a co-sponsor still (for the previous 2 years)? That is my major concern right now...
Bets regards,
Alex
