I-864 poverty line

My friend who will be joint sponzor have very good incom in 2006 now,but in 2005 his incom was not good because his wife dosnot work in 2005 because school and pregnency.Can they be legal sponzor if incom in 2005 and 2004 was under poverty line,butnow in 2006 they make very good incom over poverty line? please help me

I had the same problem. My hubby makes good income now and did not in the past 3 years. Some lawyer told me to send enough evidence to show that he does make enough now. Like a letter from the employer and tons of paystubs. He said they give more weight to what one makes now and not in the past coz it is what you make now that counts. We did not have another sponsor besides him. But who knows....I am still waiting for my processing. I figure it is worth a shot.
