I 864 part 5, living with joint sponsor, are we obliged to use I864A?

My wife US citizen doesn't t have enough income so her mother is our joint sponsor. We live in the same house with also her mother s husband.
So, the household size is 4 I guess, my wife and I, her mother and her husband.
We are now filling the i 864 for her mother that is our joint sponsor. In part 5, where is my wife appearing?
Is it in (7) as adult children with the same principal residence, combining income by submitting form I 864A?
Does my wife need to fill a I 864 and a I 864A as well, which means one I 864 for my mother in law, one for my wife and one I 864A that they will fill together. Is that correct?
Then the household size of my mother in law is 4 (including my wife)
Do we have to include my mother in law s husband?

I was really confused yesterday cause I couldn t find an answer to that question on the net, so I talked to a lawyer on the phone (from one of this "free advice online") who said to keep it simple and not to fill the I 864A and it sounded to me like a fast and not complete answer.
So thanks again for your help. :)
