My wife and I are sponsoring her parents to come here to live and we are doing the I-864 and it is unclear to the extent that the liability goes. Mainly for medical reasons since they are upper middle aged. If they were to go to the hospital for medical treatment and they didn't have the funds to cover treatment, could they automatically garnish our wages or assets? It's really unclear how far the 'support' agreement is viable towards.
