Thanks kdivekar,

I tried calling NVC to know if my case has been created. But AVM say no record found. My case was approved on aug 20th,Do you know how many days BICS takes to send approved I-140/I-824 to NVC? And how much more time NVC takes time to create the case.

Thanks in adv

Generally about 2-4 weeks to create the case @NVC. More than likely 3 weeks. The best way to check is to see cptracker.com

Its been 27 days since my I-824 got approved and I call NVC almost twice a week, but don't hear my record being created.Any idea how long it make to take for NVC to register my case?

Thanks

Try calling NVC around 8am EST or 4pm EST and try takling to the NVC operator. They are pretty helpful.

Thanks for information.Actualy I was keying the wrong receipt number,I-824 WAC-xxx not my I-140.So AVM now says they have already created the case number with MDR XXXXX and sent a Visa fee bill.Does this bill goes to my lawyer?Or my company office address?

Goes to the lawyer.

If you want to be proactive and save time tell your lawyer/ HR that fee bill has been issued and to get $335 money order/ cashier check per candidate ready. If your company is not paying for it you get it done and mail it to the lawyers this will save about a week or two.

Cpers,

NVC has created my case # and says has generated fee bill 4 weeks ago.But my lawyers have not received anything yet.Any guess on whats happened?Does it take this long?

Thanks,

it takes about 1-2 weeks easily for lawyers to get the fee bill from the date mentioned in the autmated voice message @ NVC. So wait for about 12-14 days!

AVM says fee bill was generated on 8th of September and its been 28 days! And lawyer says they have not received any mail from NVC.

ac140madras:

R u doing AC140 or regular CP? from your name it appears you are doing AC140...if thats the case then dont worry about the generated fee bill. You have to make payment in India when you go for the interview.

But if you are doing regular CP then check with your lawyers...theys houdl have got it by now. If they say they have not received it then definitely call NVC and inform them that your lawyers have not yet received fee bill even afetr 4 weeks have passed and have NVC re-issued the feel bill!

I tried with AC-1140 but now regular CP after 824 approval.i will check with my lawyer on the bill re-issue.

Thanks

acmadras...you don't have to ask attorney regarding re-issuance of fee bill. If you have your case number which I guess you do..you can call NVC and tell the rep that your fee bill was issued on xx/xx/xxxx and that it has been almost a month and neither you nor your lawyer has received it. Also ask the NVC rep where the fee bill would be mailed and make sure they have the correct mailing address. all the best~!

Hi All,
On Oct 2, NVC Automated message said my case was created in their system. Mine is I-824 approved route.

Today, it says DS3032 received and we will send further instructions. If you have to change choice of agent & address let us know in weeks.

when will I have to pay my fees and when will P3 be send?
Also my case number was created NWD instead of Chennai. When will it be correct?

Any experience like this or is this normal. Please share your thoughts...

Thanks.

I am not speaking out of personal experience.

Form DS 3032 is needed only if you wish to change your attorney
or totally drop an attorney and do it yourself.

You have to pay the fee when the NVC sends you the fee bill.
The P3 is generated and sent to you after you send back the
fee the same is collected by the St. Louis office of NVC ( that
is where you would be sending the fee).

Getting your case number changed is the first job you should do.
Send a request to the NVC while enclosing the documents like
copy of your passport etc, and explaining why you think you
fall under the Channai consulate jurisdiction.

You may want to contact them first , to find out, what information they need to make this correction.
