I-797C for H1 stamping

Anyone recieved the H1 approval notice on "I-797C notice of action" rather than I-797A or B?
I would like to go for stamping at London consulate and their website says only I-797A or B is acceptable.

Please help if you had any experience...
 
this is a courtesy copy of I797. you need the original 797A for visa stamping. ask the attorney for it.

it does not anywhere say that it is a courtesy copy..my attorney got only this one from USCIS..please clarify...
 
USCIS should issue I797A in this case or take a letter from the CIS why C was issued and should suffice in this instance.

Hi india_pk007, quick question.. Did you go to the US Consulate in india and got the visa stamping with I 7979 Courtesy copy ? I am in the same boat as you. I dont have the I 797A or Original with me? Is there any issue?
Pl respond since its very urgent. I need to travel in couple of days.
