hmmm... nice move, I was under impression that it is only not necessary to have your fingerprint on this card, but signature is still required...

I was told that an approval notice will be sent and the applicant
has to go the Newark office of INS and sign in front of the officer.

Signature and FP was necessary for EAD card itself (I guess - because my 1st EAD card has them on its face) - and so proper form was necessary for scanning equipment... they rather finally have an ability to store previously scanned images than "...get the signature from your application..." ???
BTW, anybody can tell me - does EAD card now have any FP on it ??? I got my EAD last year (June\'2000) and it has...

My EAD doesn\'t have FP on it, because I didn\'t send the signature card. I know many friends who didn\'t send signature cards and got EAD without FP at the same time I know other friends who sent signature card with FP and got FP on EAD card. I discussed this issue with my lawyer, he said it used to be mandatory to fill in the siganture card, but NOT any more now. I hope this helps.

I didn\'t attached the signature card either for my First EAD or 2nd EAD. Its not mandetory. But if you attach one, you will see it on the card, otherwise no harm. I saw way back in CSC board that it is mandetory for them but not for VSC
