I-765 I-485

Hi,
I was brought here by H1B visa
I have two questions and I would be glad if you guys could help me in this matter

1) I got my I-765 approved, does that mean the green card process is close to an end ? and how much time?

2) Can I switch a workplace in my current condition without hurting the green card process?
I-485 was filed on February 2007

-------------------I-765 or EAD approval does not mean I-485 is near approval. many got EAD 3-4 times and I-485 still pending

are you working with A and want to join B or working with A at XYZ city and want to work with A in ABC city
till what date H1 status is valid
