I-765 Form while I-485 Pending

Hello All,
I submitted my I-585 form and paid application fees since about 6 months, so it is pending. Now I have to apply for I-765 / EAD card cause my employer requires that, so my question, should I pay the application fees for I-765?

do you mean i-485?
if you are asylee and have an id/driver license + asylum approval i-94 . you don't need an EAD
refer your employer to i-9 acceptable documents
