I-765 EAD processing

Hi all,

I am in some trouble. I would really appreciate if you could someone could provide valuable suggestions. I had filed an application for EAD in April. I have planned to do an internship in summer starting from the 1st of June at a reputed company. At this point, I only have the application rececipt number and the status shows that the application is currently under processing. My internship is for a period of 2 months.

When should I be receiving my OPT? If I don't get it within this week or next week, I won't be able to do the internship. What can I do at this point? This is a big opportunity and I don't want to let it go wasted. The strange thing is that most of my friends have already received their OPT, while we had all filed at the same time.

I had filed at the Vermont Service Center.

it takes about three months. Why would you waste a 12-month OPT on a two-month internship. You should have gone for CPT instead. It's not too late. although, if you don't stop processing of your OPT, you will still have to use it when you get the card.
 
OPT approval

I just received approval for my wife's I765(OPT) . She has filed on 03-may-05 and got email cofirmation on 24-may-05. But still waiting for OPT card.

3 months passed

Hi,

Three months have passed and i have not received my OPT (although it was mailed last month on 23rd of June but I haven't received it). I filed at the Vermont Service center. Now as per the rules, I can go to the service center and get a temporary card. Is this true?

What do you guys recommend I should do in this case?
