Hello,
I had a question about my I-751 receipt notice. I am married to a U.S. Citizen and we processed our green card thru an attorney. I received my conditional Green Card July 2004 with an expiration date of July 2006. We applied in April 2006 to remove the conidtions (and decided not to use an attorney since the process seemed fairly straight forward) - the I-797C receipt notice came in within a week stating "Your alien card is extended 12 months - Employment and Travel authorized"
My question is:
Do I need to get any kind of stamp on my passport for the next 12 months or is this receipt along with my conditional green card sufficient to travel and work? I do understand that 12 months from now I will need a stamp in my passport if I haven't recd. a decision on the removal of conditions.
I would appreciate any help with this information!
Thank you!!
