Hi there, I know my wife still has a very long way to go before she is required to file the I-751. In fact, she is going to have an interview in her home country for the immigrant visa.
I just read someone to send the support documents for her I-751. One of the documents she sent was copies of her and her husband's passports, and hers shows using her husband last name.
My question is, since my wife has not updated her passport using my last name yet, and her interview is coming up in next week. We thought we tried not to mess around about name changing at this moment, and we might think using her original birth family name on her greencard.
Could someone guess if it would cause a problem down in the road for our I-751 application? I would like to avoid any possible wrong impression from USCIS to think our marriage is not a true love just because she has not updated her passport / green card with my last name
