I filed my I751 way back on March 3rd 2006 and I still cannot get any staus if it was approve or denied. I have called the USCIS on a lot of occasions only to be told that my case is "PENDING". What does this mean? Anyone in a similar situation. FYI.... I filed this I751 based on a divorce and sent in my application with all the evidence I could find to legitimize the marriage.

If anyone is in a similar situation, please let's share our timeline and if not please provide some info for me on what I should do.

Thanks

It takes a very long time to make a decision on an I-751 with a bona fide marriage waiver. May take 2 years, if not longer. Just be patient. There's nothing you can do.

Good luck! :)

Hi:

Just keep checking on the case periodically. It can take a long time. Note, when you do become eligible for citizenship (based on 5 yr rule), do file, even if the I751 has not been approved yet (although it would very likely be finished at this time). Applying for N400 tends to speed up I751 processing.

I have couple questions to Geppo.. I'll be soon in the situation same as yours and I want to compare my chanses. How long were you married? What kind of docs have you sent?

I was married for two and a half years. Got divorced at the end of the third year. I sent in divorce decree, bank statements, insurance policies (health and car), Real estate title, wedding pictures, and any toher documents with both our names on it.

I do hope you do not have to wait as long as me though :) It is frustrating
