Hi guys,

Here's the story:

Nov. 7, 2008 - I-751 submitted jointly to Vermont
Oct. 1 2009 - Interview notice
Oct. 7 2009 - Interview (easy, friendly officer, "approved" per the officer, 1 year extention stamp in the passsport, she also assure the Perm. Res. card should arrive within 60 days).
Dec. 10 - called USCIS, complained, the operator took the information and filed non-delivery request).
Got the email from the local office (NYC) saying that the case is undergoing additional review, which caused the delay up to 6 more months.

Is that common these days? Please share experienses. Being very paramoid.

Thanks much!

HOW COME YOU WERE CALLED FOR AN INTERVIEW 1 YR LATER...ANYTHING SUSPICIOUS ABOUT UR CASE, DID U FILE IN VERMONT SERVICE CENTER?

By now it must be 3 years since you've had a green card, which would make you eligible for citizenship based on marriage to a US citizen (assuming all other conditions such as moral character, physical presence, etc. are met). So go ahead and apply for citizenship, as it will force them to make a final decision with the I-751 instead of leaving it hanging forever.
