[I-751] How to renew Driver's License

Hi guys,

Sorry if this has been already discussed, but I was wondering if anybody could answer this question for me.

I sent out my joint I-751 packet about a week ago and got a confirmation that it has been received at Vermont office last Friday. My driver's license is expiring in March, the same day as my temporary Green Card expires.

My question is.. if my case is still pending till late March, how can I renew my driver's license without any problem? What is the avg. wait time these days?

Go to your state's web site and read up on what the rules are.

Then if you still don't see your answer, search for the name of your state in the Driver's License section of this forum. Then if the searching doesn't turn up anything useful, start a thread there saying which state you are in. http://forums.immigration.com/forumdisplay.php?f=229

They are going to send you soon an Extension Letter that let you work and travel for a year while your case is pending. With the Extension Letter you can renew your Driver's License.
