Hello Everyone! I am new here (actually been a silent reader for a while), and I've found this forum to be very helpful and informative.

I have what I consider to be a simple question: I mailed the I-751 for my husband and they received it yesterday. My question is, our address changed as of December '08 and I was unaware that I needed to file the AR-11. When I completed the I-751 I put our new address and also attached letter providing them with our old address as per the instructions. Do I still need to file AR-11 being that I put the new address on the I-751? And if I do, will that interefere with the pending I-751. Thanks in advance for your help!

Thank you for posting this question, jayslea! I'm about to mail my I-751 and had completely forgotten about filing the AR-11. Fortunately, one can do the AR-11 online quickly on the uscis website; I completed mine tonight. Good luck with your application!

No prob! I filled out mine online tonight too. It is technically against the law if you don't, and I personally don't want to mess with the USCIS. I will mail my I-865 (the form that sponsors are required to fill out) tomorrow.

Hey people...

This is the first time I am reading about this AR-11.Is it a big deal?
I moved into a new house last year and never submitted this form...
I sent my I-751 application last month (along with a letter stating my previous address and the detas)...I received the receipt and also did my biometrics(I recd both the notices on my new address)....

Do I need to still go ahead and submit this form?

Please inform....

Also , does my wife need to send the I-865.
The letter that I sent with my I-751 was signed by me and my wife both....

Thanks for posting! You actually answered a part of my question. I wanted to make sure that they would go based on the address on the I-751 for the purpose of NOA's instead of the previous one on file. From my understanding not filing the AR-11 is a deportable offense although usually not enforced. We were significantly late in doing so, but I fugure better late than never. Also the AR-11 is supposed to change your address of record in the USCIS "master" database and I wasn't sure if filing the i-751 would do so as it states on their website that the AR-11 doesn't automatically apply the address change to pending cases. So, I figured that in addition to being in compliance with immigration law it would be beneficial to cover all my bases just in case there was some sort of address conflict.
