I just received an automatic email notification that said my case has been approved. Upon checking Case Statuses for my mother, myself and my brother, I noticed that "last updated" section all had 02/11/09 as the date when the last action in our cases were sent but when I clicked on their cases, it still showed that 02/02 was the date when the last action was taken in their cases ( when USCIS sent us mails saying they'd received additional relationship verification documents ).

I have a few questions.
1. What's going to be my next step?
2. When can I file for RTD?
3. Do you think there's an error io their part of not sending emails saying my mother and brother have been approved too? ( I live here in the States, brother and mom live back home ).

Congratulations on your approval. You had wait long enough for it. You became an asylee as of the date of the approval.

My father applied for us back summer of 2007.

I did my biometrics back in September of 2007 as well. Nothing happened until about three months ago when I saw a change in the "last updated" dates on my case status portfolio on USCIS website. I then decided to contact my Senator and after a week or so, he sent me a letter telling me that he'd been assured that a written decision would be made within 30 days. A week or so later, we heard from USCIS. They wanted some additional documents for relationship verification purposes, which we submitted just abt 12 days ago.

Funny thing is, my father hasn't still received any mails that they sent 10 days ago in which USCIS told us that they'd be taking a written decision or written instructions for additional documents and I got an email notification early this morning in which it said that I'd been approved.

Here's one more thing. My mom and brother live back home and they still haven't been approved although the last updated date is the same in our portfolios on the website ( i.e. 02/11/09 ). When I check in my LIN number, it says that I've been approved while when I do the same, it says that they sent a receipt 10 days ago. I hope they approve their petitions soon too.

From my experience, if you don't receive your approval or hear from them within 5 months, write to your Senator, especially if your cases were filed over the last 6 months or so. When my father applied for ours, the timing was wrong because of the number of GC applicants who were trying to escape the increase in fees that seriously caused a lag in their part. A number of my father's compatriots have received their GC within 2-3 months while it's been almost about a year now and I'm thinking about contacting his local senator again.
