I-551 stamp questions??

Hello Everybody...After entering the United States from Canada on a K-1 Fiancee visa almost a year ago, I finally received my interview notice for my conditional permanent residence card (green card). My interview is scheduled for Sept 7th,2006 in Orlando and I am curious about the I-551 stamp. Will I receive the stamp at my actual interview at that time??...The reason i ask is because i am planning on traveling to Canada on Sept 15th for a wedding and I'm worried I will not be able to make it.....if anyone can help that would be great!!...Thanks soo much :)

----- if they approve YES youmay get the stamp

-----------Plan the trip after the Interview, if the officer approve the case and does not stamp the passport request to stamp the passport and inform that you are wish to go out

some DO don't stamp the passport anymore except if you really need it because you plan to travel pretty soon. This is your case, so if the officer tells you that you are approved and seems not to stamp your passport, ask if he/she can stamp it because you need to travel ;)
