I need do H1 to H4. My husband is H1-B.

In Form i-539,

Part 3:
2. Is this application based on an extension or change of status already granted to your spouse, child or parent?
No Yes, Receipt #

3. Is this application based on a separate petition or application to give your spouse, child or parent an extension or change of status? No Yes, filed with this I-539.
Yes, filed previously and pending with INS. INS receipt number

Since my husband already got H1-b, should I choose
2 - yes - and my husband's Receipt #
3 - no

Or I need choose
2 - no
3 - yes and what does " filed with this I-539" mean?

What should I fill?


And, shall I file the i-539 with my original I-94 or just copy of I-94?

Can you post the list of documents you send for H1-H4, as I am also planning to do the same.
