I am not sure whether should I get excited about VSC or CSC or any other center. Here are the official figures:
For August 2004:

The backlog for I-485 increased from 1,156,765 to 1,162,205.
Well, before giving any judgement I will wait for October data (that's when VSC leaped more than 6 months and CSC touched 2004).
Still waiting for my FP1.
