I-485 Waiter: Ideas

Folks - I am long time waiter. My GC process started in Feb 1996(PD) under EB2. My I-485 was filed on Jan 22, 2000 with VSC. Completed FP on March 22, 2001. Still waiting. Any advice or ways/means to get through the ordeal sooner. Can I or my attorney do anything to help expedite, since I have been waiting for so long ? Please, words of help and advice would help.
