I-485 validity on merger...Jaxen, others please respond

My employer has sponsered me and we are in the process of filing for my I-485 (my I-140 has been approved). There is a possibility that my company will be purchased /merged with another company sometime in the future.

My question is, what will be the status of my AOS application then if 6 months have not passed since the filing of my I-485.

Also will it help if 6 months have passed since filing for my I-485?


I will greatly appreciate any kind of info on this kind of situation

Might require I140 amendment

Not going to affect I485. Portability might not be applicable in this context.
 
My company went through 3 mergers during 3.5 years GC process. FInally the original company filed bankruptcy before they file I-485 and I filed 485 with new company which purchased the remains of the old company using I-140 of bankrupt company. I didnt even get RFE on my and wife's case and it was approved without any problem!! So i dont think INS even cares!
