I recieved transfer notice I-797 C which says "that my 1-485 transferred to SJC office for processing.Our records indicate that that office has jurisdication over your case." Can anyone help me understand the meaning of this? Can anyone provide any update as to the time it is taking for an interview nowadays.Thanks

Transfer to Local Office
My case was originally filed from Chicago (Nebraska Service Center) but then I moved to California. The case was later transferred to the San Jose Local office on January 27th and I received a letter from USCIS around March 1st that I have an interview on March 24th.
I had to get a continuance because I was going to be out of town so my appointment was reschedule to May 10th. I am glad to tell everyone that my interview went very smoothly and was approved and got my passport stamped.
