I checked the AVM last night and the message was that my i-485 has been transferred from Texas to the local INS for scheduling and conducting an interview. The message also said that it might even take several months for them to schedule an interview. Does anybody have an idea what this is all about? Does it mean that my application has been approved ?
Any input is greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

I think one person with id \'natural\' case also transferred to Local INS office, he

lives in Los Angeles. Where you live??

Its definitely not approved but

Service centers transfer cases to local offices occasionally. Reasons are varied, some are a) To reduce backlogs b) If they think your case needs an interview (in person) c) INS Randomness comes into effect.

They will transfer your case to the local office closest to where you live I believe. Local offices are said to give transfers priority on cases. This does not mean you will get your interview immediately however, you should get it in 3 - 6 months as do most transfers. Look at the processing times for 485 apps at your local office, that is the approx wait time for application filed from scratch there. Your wait time for getting an interview should considerably less.

You have time to do some research as to what is required at interviews. Take a look at the different boards and post here as well when your interview date is given. One other board you may find more info is http://pub25.ezboard.com/bimmitrackerdotcom and go to the local transfers and denials section. Good luck with your case.

Don\'t worry we are in the same boat...

It does\'nt mean that the case has been approved,u will be called for an interview...Yesterday i got the interview appointment ,that is in june....

Hope it will happen soon..

Because we filed it in march 2001 but was sent back twice because of some documents which was not sent by our employer...hope we will have some luck this time...

Another Transfer

Yesterday, we found out that our 485 is transferred to Local INS in Charlotte on April 15th.

Is there anybody with similar experience in INS charlotte????

Natural, Congrats and good luck.

A9, currently your data in the tracker is updated by the tracker

Administrator. I had taken your data from the roopnet tracker and updated here in the main tracker (http://www.e-nairobi.com/aos/) which we are all using. So you will not be able to update your information as you do not have the password to your data entry in the tracker. Would you mind entering your data yourself so that you have the control of your data and have the password so that you can update your information any time. If you would like to do so , go ahead, enter your data as new data with a new user ID (e.g. a10 or A9new or anuthing else you prefer). Once you enter your data, please do not forget to post in this forum to inform us and one of us will remove your old entry (A9) so that we do not have duplicate information.

Thank you

A9, it seems you forgot to select your service center (TSC). That is why

the data you entered went in NSC (which is the default). Can you please go back and select TSC.

Thank you.

You can, click on "View TSC report" again and then it will refresh it

the tracker orders it by RD so look according to your RD (12/14/2001). Your entry is towards the bottom half of the table.

gcdessi2002 , A9, natural

Looks like there is a new transfer case in the tracker (http://www.e-nairobi.com/aos/). he just entered his data in the tracker and his id is JJCharlotte. Seems like he is also from Charlotte. Have a look in the tracker.

gcdessi2002: Do enter your data in the tracker when you get time.
