I-485 TRANSFERRED FROM VERMONT TO ARLINGTON FOR SCHEDULING. PLEASE SHARE YOUR EXPERIENCE. HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR INTERVIEW? REGARDS. JOHNN

Most of us who have our cases transferred to arlington
 are waiting for the last 6 months. Some of them go lucky
 with 4 to 5 months. There are some waiting for 8 months
 with nothing happening.

Even for i-485 received on December 2000?

Does it matter the date (DECEMBER 2000) that VSC received the i-485 before tranferring it to local office? Will local office take into consideration that date?
 
Why was the case transferred from VSC to Arlington?

Is it because you changed residence from VSC jurisdiction to TX jurisdiction?

I just do not know. May be it makes sense to have the interview to the place near you live. I did not change my place of residence

I think Arlington is Arlington INS office in Virginia. Am I right John?

I have a basic question, why does INS transfer case to local offices nearest to our residence? Is this normal for every 485 case?
