Hi,
I have got this status update just today -
I dont know whether this is any good? Please refer to case details in the signature. My case was recently transferred to NSC from CSC like everyone else. My 3rd EAD and AP applications are pending at NSC and have not been transferred to this "National Benifit Center" with I-485. Has anyone had any similarities and if so, please provide any additional information you may have.

As far as I know, NBC is the HQ that USCIS send cases for further investigations.

Refer to my signature. My case moved from CSC => NSC => MSC(05/21/07 last move date). MSC has updated the status that they have recieved the transferred case. The last update on case happened on 06/03/2007(Sunday). SO suprised to note that they are working on a Sunday to bring in immigrants to the country..

Anyway.. I am expecting an interview. This center MSC works as transit facility to move cases from %SCs to district offices. Any specific point on your case that it may warrant an interview.. AC21 or any minor brush with the law?? What category are you and what is your PD?

Mine was moved from CSC to NSC as well. I filled AC 21 earlier. For the interview will they move the case to local field office?

I think so.

They should move the case to local office. Anyways what is your PD and details about your case..??

Rakesh,

My case was also transferred from NSC to NBC on October the 9th, just like yours.

Basically I think we are screwed as it has introduced a delay of at least 3 to 6months in getting our green cards vs the people whose cases are not transferred to NBC as they get their approvals directly.

waitingforgcard

You are asolutely correct our cases are now delayed by at least 3 months. Lets hope at least get some in that period. Good luck to you too.

regards,
Rakesh

Rakesh,

Even though it is very disappointing but like you said, lets hope for the best, after all what else can we do?

Is your case family based or employment based and what was your labor filling and I-485 receipt date?

Thanks,
waitingforgcard

My case in employment base under EB2.
My Labor was filed on Apr25 2002 so thats my priority date.
I filed my I-485 on Aug25 2005.

I got my EAD renewd third time last month and just got 2 days before it was about to expire. So my advice to everyone to apply 6 months in advance. It took 115 days for me to get the EAD renewed even though by law they should approve within 75-90 days.

I forget to metion that I used AC21 July16'2007 to join another company but with excatly same job desription mentioned in my Labor job description as drafted by my lawer.

I got mime and my spouse's interview letter for AOS today and it is scheduled for Dec'10'2007. I will share the outcome soon.

regards,
Rakesh
