I received a notice from NSC saying that my case is transfered to Cincinnati local office. NSC has process notice date upto Aug 10 and Local office has processed upto Sep 13. Do I need to follow the NSC date or Local office date?
Can you guys provide me information about how to reach a customer service reprsentative?

Same Here

I also got the same message today saying that they sent my case to Chicago (I live in Chicago) office. Chicago also has I-485 processing date of Sep 13, 2006. Looks like they want to take an interview. I am also trying to gather info about it. I was married after my Labor approval in October 2006. Maybe they want to make sure that it was a bona fide marriage. But even then they should have approved at least my case. Keep in touch as we both have same situation.

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Pleaseeeeeee

I'm from non-retrogressed country. EB2, 9-18-2006, PD:Current.

I filed 485 along with 140, EAD, and AP on October 24, 2006. Everything else is approved except the 485. I had received RFE for me and my wife on 485. They were asking for Birth Certificate, and secondary proof to show the marriage is bona fide. I sent response for RFE on March 15, and I get the "case transfer" message today.

What is your Priority date? When did you apply your 485?

Hello

My Wife's case has also been transferred to LA Local Office...and also She got an RFE to proof that tha Marriage is Bona Fide..

I did Provided Our Tax Return for 2006, Joint Bank Statement from 2 Banks and PhotoCopy of our joint credit cards..

Did U provide them anything else to proof the Bona Fide Marriage ???

I think most likely there will be an interview. Do you know how long do they take to call for an interview if there is one? I sent them joint auto insurance coverage, spousal health insurance, and joint tax return for 2006 as a secondary evidence to show the marriage is bona fide. However for us, they sent both our cases to Chicago office.

I received the letters about the case transfers for me and my wife today, and they also mention the same thing "to speed up processing". I had an Infopass appointment just yesterday and I was informed that USCIS wanted to conduct an interview and hence transferred my case to the local office. So, seems like "speed up processing" loosely translates as "interview". Did you get the interview appointment letter or any other updates in your wife's case?

My receipt date is Oct 24, 2006.

You said that the LA office is processing cases for Sep 13 as per USCIS March 15 processing dates. But Sep 13 is the date that there service level goal has to meet and it's not the actual processing date. USCIS has changed the way it reports the processing time. When they are completing applications within their service level goals (6 months for I-485) they will report that as the processing time. When they are not meeting their service level goal, the date posted will reflect the filing date of cases that are being completed. I am sure LA office is adjudicating cases of dates much later than Sep 13, 2006.

You will be better off if you take Infopass appointment and ask them when they will call for an interview provided that there will be an interview.

My details

Guys,

My and my wife I-485 was transferred to St.Paul, MN local office from NSC on March 27, 2007 and we recieved transfer notices mentioning the same thing "to speed up processing". We are expecting interview date too but dont know when that is going to happen.

Our I-485 reciept date is actually June 23, 2007 and St.Paul, MN is processing cases filled on or before Sep 13, 2007 as of March 15, 2007. Doesnt it mean they should be dealing with our I-485 cases urgently...

Please share the process of getting an infopass appointment to inquire more about our I-485 application. Did you also checked if your's namecheck is cleared during your infopass appointment . Please let us know.

Thanks,

shovonbd,
I also got interview notice for me and my wife scheduled on June 27, 2007. The letter was sent out on April 19. The case was transferred to Chicago, IL from NSC on Apr 5, 2007. Original NSC Receipt date is Oct 24, 2006.

The letter has asked to bring everything that both employment-based and family-based adjustment cases would require. However at the Infopass appointment I was told that the letter was just the standard to everyone, so we could take only the docs applicable to our cases.

When the interview completes on June 1, please let everybody know in this forum how the interview went, what kind of questions were asked, whether the passport was stamped right after the interview, and any other pertinent info that we all having the similar situation would be interested in.

Case Tranferred to local office waiting for interview

Hi,
My and my wife's case (EB2) was transferred to local office on 20th April 2007. My I-485 RD is May 04, 2004 whereas my wife;s I-485 RD is Dec 14, 2006. Its been over a month now since my case was transferred to local office but I have not heard anything from the local office about my interview date. I even went to the local office and they told me that I will recieve a letter. Does anyone know how long it takes after case is transferred to the local office to get the interview letter? What processing dates do they follow?
is it 485 RD or Case transfer date? Any help/info is much appreciated.

Thanks
