I-485 transfer

Hi,

We (I and my spouse) just moved from Texas to Arizona. I am still with the same employer. We filed our I-485 in November, 2001. Now California is processing Aug, 2001 and Texas is processing Aug, 2000. I am thinking of transferring our I-485 applications from Texas center to California center as California is almost one year ahead. Because of tensed job situation I would like get I-485 approval as soon as possible.

Does anyone have any idea about how long does it take to transfer such cases?

What are the chances that the applications may get lost? Anybody has any experience with the transfer process including the cases where the applications got lost?

Is it a good idea to transfer the applications?

Any comments/suggestions/information sharing will be greatly appreciated.

Transfer from Philadelphia to SFO

Transfer of I485 From Philadelphia to San Francisco
Petition of change address date: May 02.
Transfer notice received from Philadelphia office: Jun 02
Went to SFO, applied and got EAD and AP for the whole family in Aug, 02.
Got FP done in SFO for the notice received from Philadelphia.
Checked with SFO, INS and found that the petition is at SFO with the status of pending.
Didn't receive any receipt notice from SFO.
Waiting for the next step.....

So, I feel that transfer of I-485 is not a problem
