I-485 transfer to Memphis local office

Hi All,

my I-485 was transfered to Memphis local office on 8/18/2005 and the only information for my status is from USCIS website is:
On August 18, 2005, we transferred your I485 Application to Register Permanent Residence or to Adjust Status to our office in MEMPHIS, TN for them to schedule and conduct your interview. Scheduling can take several months. Our office in MEMPHIS, TN will notify you when they schedule your interview or take other action on your case. If you need further information, please call the National Customer Service Center at (800) 375-5283.
it has been 6 months past, we didn't have any notice for interview or other action on my case. Is there anyone have same situation in Memphis? please post any information you knew how it is working. I checked the Memphis website and there is no local office phone we can call to check.

Get Infopass Appointment and go in person

You will not get online case updates anymore. This will continue till your approval (or even beyond that, as is the case with me). So, please get an Infopass appointment and walk to the Memphis office in person.

Thanks very much for your info. another question for you, my I-485 recepit data is 11/2004 when submitting to Texas center. and the transfer date is 8/18/2005, the district office processing dates for Memphis TN posted Feb.15,2006 showed me that now processing case with receipt notice date of Sep. 22,2004.so for my case, Memphis will use my recepit date when I submitted to Texas center or the transfered date? when you visited the Memphis office after your case was transfered to local office? because I am living the Knoxvill about 8-9 driving hours away from Memphis. if i visit them early and they will properly give me information without any progress. what is good time to visit it?

I was transferred to Atlanta District Office ( ADO ) and not Memphis. At ADO, they do by the receipt date and not transfer date. And I am told that many other offices also put files on queue based on receipt date and not transfer date. Please wait for other Memphis gurus to opine on this.

That much said, I must also tell you that the dates they publish for the local offices must give you an idea as to when they are going to call you (receipt date) and so you must be able to get an Infopass appointment to walk to the office to talk to somebody in person. At least you will get an idea of whether your files have reached Memphis and they can verify your latest and greatest address in their system (which is very important, BTW).
 
I 485 transferred to memphis

we had our case transferred to memphis.Anyone who had similar case? and also how long it takes for memphis to schadule interview .Anyone with experience of interview in memphis.Thanks and good luck to you all.
 
Atlanta DO

My case was transfered from VSC to Atlanta DO (1/7/05). Interviewed in 5/23/05. At the interview were told to wait for Security/Name Check(s). Our local congressman's office told us that Security/Name Check(s) cleared in 09/05, but we have to wait for visa #.
My PD is current since 06/01/06. I went to ATL DO to check to status via infopass on 8/11/06. I had a LUD on 8/29/06, but no message change.

I received a letter dated 9/6/06 says the following:

Your application is currently pending. You will receive notice by mail, once a decision has been made.

Anybody had similar experience?
