I heard on AVM that my I-485 case has beed transferred to local Houston office. This process is so confusing. I don't know what is going to happen next. I had my fingure printing done in March 2002. Are any of you in the same boat or can any of you gurus can tell me what to expect now. I would appreciate any input because that will help me in great deal to reduce my frustration.

Thanks in advance.

I called IIO today. As expected her answers were limited to "I don't know". It is superising that they get paid for this kind of job. She gave me a phone number for local office - 281 847 7900. This number is also not working. Has anybody called Houston office to enquire about transferred case.

I checked with INS national service center and they told me that it can take more than 3 years to get my case approved. It seems I am doomed. Also it looks like nobody in this board is transferred to Houston office. Pray for me guys !

Please post your detail info, so we can get some clue why
-- like your employement status and any time out-of-status, job change ...

Some people get transferred to local because of that ...

Good luck to you and you may get approved soon!

I am with the same employer for last six years. I don't think there is any gap in my status. That is why it is so surpurising that they transferred my case. If it takes three years from now (as I was told my a INS customer service rep.) I will ne insane by that time.

Hi,
You don't need to worry about the transfer, it seems because of your is NIW, like GKing said some NIW case trigered the transfer.
You may expect an interview, just prepare and bring the relatived documents with you, and you may hire a lawyer go with you for the interview.
If there's no wrong doing or error in your case, no need to worry!
You may get approved soon. I got PF done in March also.

May god bless us!

Milk,

This is what my status says.

Current Status: Relocated From SC or Local Office for Standard Interview - location error .

God bless us all.
