I-485 still on hold at CSC

whenever i talk to my lawyer they tell me not to trust any sites(including the one their firm has)."dont trust JIT."
when i got my 485 receipt it stated that it takes 999 days for approval. when i check my status now it says 160 -180 days. when i asked the lawyer about this they said ." dont trust this."
when all the websites posted that the freeze on 485 has been lifted on January 2003 they said "dont trust this". still there is a freeze.
today the lawyer has sent an email saying that CSC is not approving I 485 cases now. but is expected to approve cases soon.
How can i trust this???

i'm so frustrated and confused. i'll be so glad to see that cases are moving when i see JIT. but to my dismay the lawyer office will give a negative response.
My RD is FEb 2002 no FP so far.
they are refusing to Fax or make any enquiry to the INS.
they are asking me to wait until My RD becomes current.
they really dont understand what we go thru.
we pick them as our lawyer bcos we have so much hope they'll help us and be supportive. but they do it just for money.
i dont know what to do. i know we can't do anything abt it. but it is really a pain
we'll hope and wait for the day when the lawyers and INS understands our feelings.

CSC and most lawyer are partners in crime.
I understand you might be upset, try to get advice from other
attorney's as well. Coz fingerprinting usually does not take
that long after filling the 485 paper .though, as always no
rule with INS.

Sorry, it hear about. But consult some good attorney's !

Feb 2002 guys had some trouble getting FP notices on time. There were couple of postings on this issue about 6/7 months ago.

My RD is also feb 2002. I had to request/force my lawyer to send fax enquiries to CSC about FP notice. The FP notice came within 2 weeks of that fax. That was also 5/6 months back.

You have the right to send fax inquiries about FP-notice after 4 months of your RD. Your FP notice is long due.

Also, call IIO and tell them to send FP-notice.

you can send a fax to Division-I requesting for FP..you do not
need your attorney's signature. You will get a notice...the
notice will be on a white paper...like a regular printout unlike
the other notices.
 
Something is seriously wrong with CSC!!

May be they have new team which is getting live training. Sometime we have RFE, sometime papers are shreded, JIT moves back & forth. Experiment is going on.

I got a letter from INS, it is not for fingerprint but there is point in it, I will just put verbatim.

FINGERPRINT SCHEDULING - On 9/28/01 a new National Scheduler system has began fingerprint scheduling for individuals who submitted an I-485 application on or after 5/01/01. Please allow 120 days from 9/28/01 before making any inquiry on fingerprint scheduling.
If you filed your I-485 application after 9/28/01, please allow 120 days before making an inqiry.

So it seems that after 120 days you can do inquiry.

i reallyappreciate you all for sharing and guiding me on this process. we r going to send a Fax to the INS tomorrow. i'll let u know what happens.
