Hi all,

Finally my I 485 approved based on online status. I have a question, just for back up purpose I took Canadian Permanent Residance (PR) and its stamp on my Passport. My question to all of you is that

(1) What question they ask about Canadian PR?
(2) What I have to answer?

Please share your experience and knowledge. Any immigration lawyer reader, please advice.

Thanks,

Knet

at the local USCIS office, why should they ask you about Canadian stamp or foreign stamps? they won't ask and they don't care. You may go for stamping and congratulations!

Many Canadian permanent residents got US green card stamp without any problem.

I think the only option is you have to surrender only one of them: your Canadian PR or US GC to avoid future problems because you cannot maintain both status. For example, If you want to live in USA permanently, you have to surrender Canadian PR card. If you want to live in Canada permanently, you have to surrender US GC.

---- no need to surrender Canadian PR card if the person does not stay 2 years in any 5 years then PR status of Canada autumaticaly gets abondned.

If you want to live in Canada permanently, you have to surrender US GC.

Thanks ...
