I-485 Sent on 4/29, no receipt as of 6/22

I-485 was sent on 4/29 by FedEx, delivery confirmed
with signature on 4/30. Check not yet cashed.
Talked to an IIO today, she couldn\'t find any
info on the computer system based on my name/DOB.
(she did find my I-140). Anybody in the same boat
or know cases of 485 receipt taking so long? How
much longer should I wait until sending another
petition? Please share your info!

Hi, My file was sent to INS on may 10 , no information yet. What address did
you send ? Wrong P O Box number may delay your receipt .

Can you tell me what IIo suggest you do ?

I do not know what address the lawyer used
to send the package. But I gusss he has
handled a lot of cases and shouldn\'t have
used the wrong address/POB.

The IIO didn\'t have any suggestion! She said
they are processing packages received around
May 23. She also said the FedEx tracking
number has no use. When I ask whether I
should send a new package, she didn\'t
strongly disagree, just said "well, we may
end up having 2 packages...". But I guess
two is definitely better than zero!!

Hi, Kiwi, Thank you very much for your answer. Let \'s keep in touch.
I have talked with some friends about this situation. They told me that
we may wait until two month or a little more. Then we should really worry about it.
The first thing I think we should push our lawer, try talk to him, ask him do sth!

I will let you know my situation, pls let me know yours too.

Hope it is just a computer mistake.

I already talked to my lawyer. He is worrying too. It is not that
he is not willing to help, there is really not much he can do. And
I myself can\'t think of anything to ask him to do. (any suggetions?). Even an IIO is not able to do anything... I am sure INS received
my package, it is now sitting in some dark corner collecting dust.
But it is impossible for them to find a package among tens of
thousands or maybe hundreds of thousands packages.

So basically there are only two options: wait or re-send. I think
I am going to wait one more week until the end of this month and
re-send the whole thing the first week of July.

Same happened here
Since it was sent fedex it is not deleivered to PO BOX and so the petition is lost until you decide to call INS a zillion times
I sent aaletter to the director at NEBRASKA and called them 3 times in 2 weeks
FInally i received the receipt
When you send FEDEX with request for sig it goes to the main desk instaed of the PO BOX and so it takes 2 or more months to get into the right hands. DO not send a second app
Send receipt of FEDEX and letter to Director INS
