Hello Friends,
I got the RFE for my wife today and it stays as below:

Submit evidence to demonstrate that your present marriage to Ram is bona fide. This evidence may be in the form of birth certificates for common children, documentary evidence of joint residence and/or ownership of property, joint income tax returns, joint financial accounts, spousal insurance coverage and other such documentation. If you fail to submit any evidence or if you submit insufficient evidence, your application may be considered for denial

Question:
-I have already submitted our marriage certificate already during my I-485 Application. what else can I provide apart from marriage certificate thats my marriage is bona fide.
- we dont have any children yet. I can provide Home Lease documents, car insurance, health insurance. would that be suffice.
- does any body got the same I-485 RFE and have submitted successfully. Can you please let know. this would be great help.

Thanks in Advance.

-Ram

Most likely your attorney or USCIS misplaced the marriage certificate. Not to worry.
The notice pretty much clearly says what is needed for the RFE to be satisfied.
Just resubmit the marriage certificiate, along with health insurance and home lease insurance, as you have them. If you filed taxes together, that would also help.

Ram,

Was the marriage certificate issued from your home country ? Did you and your spouse have different addresses in the G325-A form or while filing or at the present time ? Also, are your last names different as in your application/passport ?

Other than attorney forgot to attach your Marriage Certificate, I have found the above reasons that have triggered a "bonafide marriage" RFE.

marriage certificate means ' you were married on a certain date'. what uscis is trying to determine is that are you still married or divorced? just submit as much of the evidence that they asked.

Thanks guys for your response.
