I-485 RFE regarding birth certificate

Hello all, Filed I485 for my parents with "COPY" of non availability of birth certificate and "COPY" of 2 affidavits for the actual date of birth. Today, we received letter from USCIS requesting the ORIGINALs for the above mentioned docs, is this normal ? has anybody else had the same experience ?

I did the same for my parents application...Copy of Affidavit and NON availability Certificate. Got a RFE asking for a copy of the BC.

So, sent the same again with a cover letter. Are you sure they asked for originals in the RFE. Mine says COPY of BC. Hope what I resend is enough...Waiting.
