I-485 returned, asking for I-130 proof and still waiting

hi guys,
i applied I-130 and I-485 together at Vermont and Chicago, I - 130 got receipt date of July 21,2007 but I-485application came back stating that they need proof that I-130 was filed. So on August 04,2007 i had mailed back the same returned application of I-485 with a check of $1010 and also an additional check of $340 for I-765. Two checks in case if they need for I-765 and if not hope they return the check only not the whole application keeping $1010 check. today its 09/07/07 still havent heard or received any letter from USCIS neither the check/s has been cashed. Does any one have an idea or can help what will be happening.?

Thanks guys

Rinken

you were supposed to send a copy of a notice of receipt for your I-130 and a cover letter with your I-130.

no, you didn't do it "together". Together means - in the same envelope to Chicago lockbox. You sent one application to a service center and the other to lockbox.

the fee for I-765 is included in $1,010. You should not have included a separate fee for it. USCIS is not in a habit of sending checks back.

it will most likely be denied again, if you didn't provide proof that I-130 was filed. Read the instructions next time - very carefully and follow them.

Ya second time i did attached I-130 Receipt of Notice also with I-485 returned application, i didnt filled out the new 485 application, but mailed them the same adding I-130 receipt of notice. about the checks i was not sure which they will consider: fees before july 31 or after. So i mailed them two different checks one of $1010 for I-485 and I-765 and second of $340 only for I-765, thinking that if they dont want $340 check they will send us back. But is it going to create problem or deny application?
