I-485 rejected

My husbund(green card holder) filed I-130 4 years ago. In April 2005 he became a citizen. He updated the file an we were called for the interview in july 2005. We didn't get the approval notice yet though they say it takes 60 days. I filed I-485 without an approval notice but with a copy of his naturalization certicate and I-797(notice of acction,that the I-130 is pending). 3 times I got I-485 back with the rejection notice asking for approval letter. please help! what can be the problem?
 
interview was only for I-130 as we filed it alone without I-485.I-485 I filed after the interview.at the intervie immigration ofiicer said she would sand approval notice
 
Is the first time I hear about an interview for I-130. It is perfectly clear that the problem is that you can't file I-485 without the approval letter of the I-130. If you check the instructions of I-485 says (since you are not filing concurrently of course) you must attach a copy of your approval letter of the petition for an alien relative (I-130). That is why is rejected.
Check the status of your I-130 and when you received the approval then you apply for I-485.
