I-485 Reciept Notice

I filled my I-485 on 3/15/2006. I have neither seen any clear checks nor recieved any notice of filling.
I have seen that some of us posted similar concerns last week. I would like to start this thread to track recipt dates.



My details:

PD: Dec 2001
I-140 (EB2-RIR-India): RD/ND: 2/16/06, LUD1: 2/18/06, LUD2: 4/12/06

I485/I765 etc: Filled 03/15/06, FedEx recd: 03/16/06

Mine filed on 23rd of March. Still waiting. I have a out of country trip on May and i am not sure whether i will get receipt notice before that. When i call customer service, they say we do not need to get receipt notice before travel whereas my lawyer says i need to get the notice before the travel.
is there a direct # to VSC

I called NSC today. Did not get any help.
BTW, did you see you check clear yet?

Why did u call NSC? Where was 140 applied? In VSC right? You shoudl be calling VSC?

I meant the Nat'l service center 1-800 #.

They are useless till they see our application in their computer system. Did you send your applications to VSC? Is there a direct # to VSC?

Yes, I did send my application to VSC. No, I dont know a direct # to call VSC.
Did you check clear yet?

I do not know. I will have to check with lawyer office which i hate to do.

If you wrote the checks for fees yourself, then you should be able to check it with your bank.

I came to know today (by calling VSC directly usiing the same NSC # - Psl refer other email thread today that discusses how to call VSC Ext) that my receipt notice was sent on April 1 itself and VSC person gave me all the receipt # of my filings. I also confirmed with my lawyer today that got my receipt notices.
